Day #98: Sacrosanctum Concilium 125-130

Today we condclude the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy with one more look at Sacred Art and Furnishings.

Here we see the Council’s desire to maintain the use of statues for the faithful to venerate (article 125), the place of the diocesan commission on sacred art (article 126), and the place of the artists themsevles (article 127).

Finally, we see a call for the revision of laws about sacred art so that they are in union with the revisions to be made in the liturgical books (article 128), a call for the education of seminarians on sacred art (article 129), and a final statement on reserving pontificals to bishops (article 130).

No Scripture references or footnotes.
