Today in the Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World, we start section 2 of the chapter on economic and social development: “Certain Principles Governing Socio-Economic Life as a Whole.”
Today’s passage reflects on the fact that human labor is the most important aspect of the economic labor. This is, of course, because it has to do with the human person rather than simply tools.
