Day #209: Ad Gentes 16

Today in the Decree on the Mission Activity of the Church we continue looking at Christian communities and their relation to the mission of the Church.

Not only do we participate in the Church’s missionary activity through our personal witness (section 1) and through preaching (section 2) but — as article 15 elaborates upon — through building up Christian communities.

Article 16 looks at the importance of priests and their priestly formation in the Christian community.  It also brings up once more the Council’s desire for a permanent diaconate.
