Today in the Decree Concerning the Pastoral Office of Bishops in the Church, we continue our look at diocesan bishops.
Whereas the last couple of days’ reflection consisted of looking at the bishop’s teaching office, article 15 turns toward their role in the sanctifying office. Bishops are instrumental in dispensing the sacraments to those in their diocese and they have a great responsibility to foster vocations to help them in this regard.
